Redevelopment Scenarios Feedback

The Reimagining Chevy in the Hole booklet was finished in Fall 2007 (see sidebar for more information on this research project).

Please take a look and post any comments about the redevelopment scenarios presented in the booklet. The Chevy in the Hole Subcommittee (Flint River Corridor Alliance) has plans to host a follow-up community meeting in Spring 2008 to address redevelopment ideas for the site.

Tell your SITE STORY!

MORE INFORMATION ON THE STORIES PROGRAM COMING SOON!
The Genesee County Land Bank is collecting personal stories related in any way to the Chevy in the Hole site. Your STORIES will be used to bring life to the extraordinary evolution of this site.

Do you have a story about working at the original Chevrolet Motors?
Do you remember when the auto worker stikes happened in 1937?
What was the Flint River like running through the site before the Army Corps constructed the concrete channel? Do you remember the floods?
What is it like to live near the site today? What do you envision the site to be like in 100 years?

We would love to hear your story!
